EXCLUSIVE: Fox, Hulu and 20th Television Animation have assembled the voice cast of the upcoming Family Guy spinoff Stewie, which includes titular star Seth MacFarlane pulling a double voiceover duty and Mike Henry voicing someone related to one of his signature Family Guy characters.
SNL-ers Kenan Thompson and Vanessa Bayer, The Rookie star Melissa O’Neil, and Family Guy’s Henry, Aaron Lee and Jessica Lowe have joined MacFarlane in the Stewie voice cast. The spinoff from MacFarlane’s animated juggernaut Family Guy was created by MacFarlane and Kirker Butler, who executive produces with Kara Vallow.
Butler serves as showrunner on the offshoot in which, after getting the boot from his old preschool, Stewie (MacFarlane) is forced to enroll in a new one that’s not exactly top-of-the-line. It’s attended by a handful of kids he doesn’t know, an elderly class turtle (Lee) with a half-cocked theory on just about everything, and a teacher (Bayer) who probably shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near kids. Stewie’s miserable, the other kids are miserable, even the turtle is miserable… until Stewie begins rolling out his trusty array of devices to take them anywhere in space and time, turning every boring day at school into an insane and unforgettable adventure.

In addition to the Griffins’ evil genius toddler son, MacFarlane will voice Bean, Stewie’s man-of-very-few-words classmate who was dropped on his head one too many times.
Henry voices BJ, Stewie’s gossipy new classmate, and son of Family Guy‘s Bruce, a neighbor of the Griffins, who also is portrayed by Henry.
Thompson voices Royal, one of Stewie’s new friends who’s got a “Hell no” attitude about the hazards of Stewie’s adventures.
Bayer voices Morgan, Stewie’s teacher, who should probably spend more time watching the kids, and less time partying.
In her animation debut, O’Neil voices Wanda, Stewie’s intellectual soulmate and object of affection.
Lowe voices Caroline, a wannabe influencer, and Stewie’s formidable classroom nemesis.
Lee voices Skunk, the hundred year-old class turtle.
Stewie in March received a two-season order from Fox for a premiere during the 2027-28 season on the network, streaming next day on Hulu. MacFarlane executive produces via his Fuzzy Door banner. 20th Television Animation is the studio.
Thompson, the longest tenured Saturday Night Live cast member with 23 seasons under his belt, is repped by Range Media Partners. Bayer, who recurs on ABC’s Scrubs reboot, is repped by WME, Rise Management and JTWAMM. Henry, who also co-created and starred in Family Guy spinoff The Cleveland Show, is repped by UTA and JSS&K. Lowe, known for her starring roles in TBS’ Wrecked and comedy Minx, is repped by CAA and Brillstein Entertainment Partners. O’Neil, who in addition to The Rookie, starred in Syfy’s Dark Matter, is repped by Amplified and The Talent House. Lee, whose writing/voiceover credits also include Duncanville, is repped by WME. MacFarlane, who also has an upcoming Ted animated series for Peacock, is repped by WME, Joy Fehily Management & Consulting, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
