EXCLUSIVE: When it comes to Hulu and Disney+’s Oliver Twist sequel, it’s a case of: Please sir, I want some more.
The Artful Dodger has been renewed for a third and final season, with Thomas Brodie-Sangster (The Queen’s Gambit) reprising his role as the thieving title character.
David Thewlis (Landscapers) will return to the Australian original as Fagin, while Maia Mitchell (Good Trouble) will again play Lady Belle Fox. Filming gets underway in Sydney in the coming months.
Set in 1850s Australia, 15 years after the events of Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist, The Artful Dodger has become the most-viewed Australian original title on Disney+, according to the Mouse House.
