EXCLUSIVE: Thud, the darkly comedic supernatural romance starring Sarah Michelle Gellar as the Grim Reaper and Rudy Pankow as the Devil, has rounded out its cast with six final additions: former SNL cast member Lauren Holt, Anna Akana (Go Back to China), Kevin Bigley (Upload), Brian McElhaney (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), Brandon Scott (Off Campus) and Vincent Rodriguez III (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend).
Character details are under wraps. Directed by Mali Elfman, from an original screenplay by Noga Pnueli, the film watches as the Grim Reaper and the Devil wreak havoc at a three-day destination wedding as they fall in love.
Produced by Derek Bishé and David Grove Churchill Viste, Thud recently wrapped principal photography in Los Angeles with the support of a California tax credit. We were first to report on the indie, whose cast also includes Piper Curda, Sujata Day, Sterling Sulieman, Steve Agee, Karan Soni, Dot-Marie Jones and Katie Parker.
