Madelyn Keys, Cale Ambrozic and Olly Atkins will be reprising their roles for new twists and turns on and off the ice in Season 2 of Finding Her Edge, which starts production at the end of the month.
The YA figure skating series’ first season arrived in January of this year. Based on Jennifer Iacopelli’s book, it follows the three Russo sisters, heirs to a struggling figure skating dynasty.
Season 1 saw middle sister, 17-year-old Adriana (Keys) training for the World Championships with her new partner Braden Elliot (Ambrozic) while she still has feelings for her former partner and first love Freddie (Atkins) to reconcile.
Adriana’s life becomes even more complicated when the fake dating trope enters the picture as she and Brayden hatch a plan to pretend to be a couple off the ice so that they can land a key sponsorship and help keep the Russo’s rink afloat amidst financial woes.

The cast also includes Harmon Walsh (Gossip Girl, Murdoch Mysteries), Alexandra Beaton (Overcompensating, Luckiest Girl Alive), Meredith Forlenza (Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent, Blindspot), Alice Malakhov (Anne With an E, Reverse 1999), Niko Ceci (I Woke Up a Vampire, Odd Squad), and Millie Davis (The Umbrella Academy, Wonder).
The YA series scored a second season renewal not even two weeks after it premiered on the streamer Jan. 22. Author Iacopelli also has a sequel book in the works, On Thin Ice, which hits shelves May 4, 2027.
According to the streamer, the show reached the top 10 in 81 countries with over 12M views, climbing to #3 in the TV Top 10 two weeks after it skated onto Netflix, which the streamer unveiled with the renewal news.
Jeff Norton executive produces with Josh Scherba, Stephanie Betts and Angela Boudreault for WildBrain. Shamim Sarif (You, The Way Home) and Jacqueline Pepall (Horrible Histories, Goldie’s Oldies) direct. Shelley Scarrow serves as head writer (Wynonna Earp, Degrassi: The Next Generation), along with writers Sabrina Sherif (The Summer I Turned Pretty, Wild Cards), Norton and Jacqueline Pepall.
