EXCLUSIVE: Barry Keoghan, the Oscar-nominated actor set to play Ringo Starr in Sam Mendes’ The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, has signed with CAA.
Keoghan is currently in production on the biopics, where he stars opposite Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon. Each film is told from the perspective of a different band member. All are slated for release in April 2028.
Keoghan will next be seen in Lemonade, directed by Kim Bartley, as well as Kantemir Balagov’s English-language debut Butterfly Jam, opposite Riley Keough and Harry Melling, which premiered as the opening-night film of Directors’ Fortnight at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
Keoghan recently starred opposite Cillian Murphy and Rebecca Ferguson in Netflix’s Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, directed by Tom Harper, and opposite Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry and Mark Ruffalo in Bart Layton’s Crime 101 for Amazon MGM. Prior to that, he starred in Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn, opposite Jacob Elordi, Rosamund Pike and Richard E. Grant, earning Golden Globe and BAFTA Award nominations for his performance.

Keoghan won the BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Martin McDonagh’s The Banshees of Inisherin, opposite Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson. The role also earned him Academy Award, Golden Globe, SAG award and Critics Choice Award nominations, among other accolades.
Other film credits for the actor include Hurry Up Tomorrow, Bird, Bring Them Down, The Batman, Eternals, The Green Knight, Calm With Horses, American Animals, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, Dunkirk, Black ’47, Light Thereafter, Mammal, Trespass Against Us, Traders and ’71.
