The Super League season is in to its final three rounds of action and, with it, a whole lot of drama is unfolding as the Final Charge ramps up.
In Super League, the two teams who finish first and second are guaranteed a home semi-final across Friday September 25 and Saturday September 26.
In the week prior to that, the Play-Off Eliminators occur in which the third-place team takes on the team in sixth and fourth plays fifth for the chance to make it into the semis.
Then the winners of the semi-finals head to the Grand Final at Old Trafford on Saturday October 3.
Let’s take a look at what each team has remaining and what is on the line for them…
1) Leeds Rhinos (40 points)
Leeds Rhinos have been at the summit of Super League for a while now and they will want to hold onto that for their two remaining fixtures.
However, they are level on points with Wigan, who again briefly leapfrogged them with victory in Round 25 over Hull KR, although they have a vastly-superior points difference.

Leeds Rhinos ran in six tries in a dominant 34-6 victory over St Helens to move back above Wigan Warriors at the top of the Super League table.
The League Leaders’ Shield could now potentially be all-but decided on Saturday September 5 when Leeds host Wigan in the penultimate round of fixtures. They then close out the regular season at home to Hull FC the following weekend.
Leeds last won the League Leaders’ Shield way back in 2015 and last won a trophy in 2020 when they took Challenge Cup glory, so finishing top would see a welcome return of some silverware for the Rhinos.
2) Wigan Warriors (40 points)

The team who have been there, done that, and got the T-shirt. Matt Peet, head coach of Wigan, has made no secret of how hard he has been pushing for a top-two finish because he knows how crucial that home semi-final is.
Now, if his team continue on, they could usurp Leeds if they keep the pressure on with their play-off spot confirmed.

Not only that, the Warriors will be hungry to avenge their Grand Final defeat to Hull KR in 2025.
They have the Challenge Cup in their trophy cabinet and will have all eyes on adding a second piece of silverware.
Ahead of the play-offs, they still have to play Leeds Rhinos (A) – the potential league decider – and Catalans Dragons (H).
3) Warrington Wolves (36 points)
Warrington Wolves made it three wins in a jam-packed 10 days by beating Huddersfield Giants to move on to 36 points in Round 24.

Their 34-24 triumph against Huddersfield on Sunday was a fifth consecutive win, putting them in the right form at the right time for the play-off charge with just three rounds to go, and they could yet even snatch top spot.
In their remaining fixtures, they face Hull FC (A), Wakefield Trinity (A) and Toulouse Olympique (H).
All of those teams are below them in the table – a luxury not afforded to many other teams in the play-off picture.
The game against Wakefield will be the toughest test, with Trinity just four points below them.
4) Wakefield Trinity (32 points)
What a season it has been for Wakefield Trinity.
They are on the hunt for their highest Super League finish, but will now want to bounce back following their heart-breaking two-point defeat to top-of-the-table Leeds and then subsequent defeats to St Helens and Wigan Warriors.
In honesty, with two top teams remaining in their run-in, those results should worry Daryl Powell’s side.

They have games against York Knights (H), Warrington Wolves (H) and Leigh Leopards (A) left.
Those are against two teams out of the seven still in the fight.
5) Leigh Leopards (32 points)

The team that has become renowned for coming good when they need to, Leigh Leopards want to shore up their spot in the play-offs once again.
After a disastrous start to the season, Adrian Lam’s side have found their groove, made waves and had look in real good nick. Indeed, their win over Leeds set down a marker.
However, a 30-18.away defeat to Huddersfield Giants in Round 25 was a untimely blow and means that play-off place is not assured yet.

And they still face a tough end to the season in which they will know every win will matter.
The Leopards face St Helens (H) and Wakefield Trinity (H).
If Leigh want to make it to the Grand Final for the first time, they need to continue to show their steel now.
6) Hull KR (30 points)

Hull KR are right in the mix and will want it to stay that way but after their heavy 46-0 loss with an under-strength side to Wigan, they remain only two points ahead of St Helens.
The Robins were the team who did it all in 2025, ending the wait for a new team to win the competition, and now they will want to send coach Willie Peters out on a high by going back to back.
Their shock loss to Toulouse did not help their cause, though.
Their remaining matches are against Huddersfield Giants (H) and St Helens (A).

7) St Helens (28 points)

Highlights of the Super League clash between St Helens and Castleford Tigers
St Helens have two matches to try and ensure they do not make some unwanted history.
Saints have never missed out on the play-offs. Most recently they lost 20-12 to Hull KR in the semi-finals in 2025 as the Robins went on to complete the treble.
After their loss to Hull FC, St Helens looked down and out. With triumphant wins over Wakefield and Castleford, the never-say-die attitude has been reinstated once again. But defeat to Leeds in Round 25 leaves them outside the top six with two games now.
They will now refocus and aim for two wins out of two to be in with a shout. If they win both they move to 32 points.

They now face the two teams currently directly ahead of them in the play-off hunt – Leigh Leopards (A) and Hull KR (H).
