Alex Kingston, Iain Glen and Sean Pertwee are among the British acting royalty cast opposite Ray Winstone in Prime Video‘s upcoming comedy-action series Danger Money.
Kingston (A Discovery of Witches, Doctor Who), Glen (Game of Thrones, Jack Taylor), Arian Nik (Count Abdulla, Daddy Issues) and Mimi Keene (Sex Education, Towards Zero) will star opposite to Winstone in the series.
Pertwee (The Siege, Gotham), Kara Tointon (The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping) and the show’s co-writer and co-creator, Oliver Maltman (Red Eye, Operation Fourtune: Ruse de Guerre) will also star in the Two Brothers Pictures series, which was made in association with All3Media International prior to its merger with Banijay Rights.
Filming has now begun on location in Malta, with Winstone starring as Alan ‘Razor’ Sharp, a former SAS operative haunted by a botched mission in the 1990s that left his reputation in tatters and his best friend dead. Decades later, still plagued by guilt and desperate to rebuild a relationship with his daughter, Razor is pulled back into the world that he’d left behind when an friend (Sean Pertwee) resurfaces with a job.

Razor travels to Italy, but is forced on the run with a motley crew made up of his impulsive ‘nephew’ Jamaal (Nik) and secretive tag-along Roxy (Kingston) and encounters a violent conspiracy involving hidden war spoils, corrupt institutions and powerful enemies. To clear his name, Razor must confront the truth behind the missions that destroyed him.
Tointon will star as Maggie, Winstone’s onscreen daughter, while Maltman will play her partner, Gavin, and Keene will star as the mysterious Ana, while Glen plays a pal from Razor’s younger days.
The six-part action-comedy comes from David Crow and Maltman, who serve as executive producers alongside Harry and Jack Williams, Sarah Hammond, Alex Mercer and Katie Churchill for Two Brothers. Carl Tibbetts will direct episodes 1-3, with Charles Martin directing episodes 4-6. Crow and Maltman are writing episodes 1, 2 and 6, Iain Hollands is writing episodes 3 and 4, as well as serving as a co-EP, and Ryan O’Sullivan and Matilda Wnek are writing episode 5. The producer is Mick Pantaleo and Aisha Bywaters serves as casting director.
