EXCLUSIVE: Bob Yari’s Magenta Light Studios has picked up U.S. and Canadian theatrical rights to Emmy nominated filmmaker Francesca Gregorini’s (Killing Eve, The Dropout, The Truth About Emanuel) Hurricanna about the chaotic final 48 hours of supermodel Anna Nicole Smith‘s life. The pic will hit theaters on Nov. 13.
Starring Sylvia Hoeks (Blade Runner 2049, See), Oscar winner Holly Hunter (The Piano, Broadcast News), Mark Duplass (The Morning Show, Creep), Nicholas Hamilton (It, Captain Fantastic), Kevin Sussman (The Big Bang Theory, Ugly Betty), and Michael Nouri (Flashdance, The O.C.), Hurricanna is told from the fragmented and colliding perspectives of Smith, her psychiatrist, and her attorney and caretaker. The pic explores fame, addiction and codependency, against the backdrop of a glamorous appearance at a championship boxing match that spirals toward disaster.
The movie also stars Dan Matteucci, Iqbal Theba, Halston Owen, Lilly Krug, Tom Bower, Matthew Gilmore, and Shakira Barrera.

Gregorini directs from a screenplay by Rachel Sarnoff and Matt Sarnoff. The film is produced by Cassian Elwes, Rory Koslow, Alix Madigan and Paul Robarts, with Gregorini also producing.
