Buckle up for a global thrill ride. Catherine Zeta-Jones is on the run in the first trailer for action series Kill Jackie.
Zeta-Jones is is seen shooting shotguns, taking out home-raiding assassins with guns hidden in artwork and charting a private aircraft as her character, former drug smuggler Jackie Price, attempts to evade The Seven Demons, a squad of the world’s most terrifying hired hitmen.
There’s even a nod to 28 Days Later, with Zeta-Jones hobbling across a deserted Westminster Bridge in London wearing blue hospital scrubs, just like Cillian Murphy’s Jim in the 2002 horror movie. Watch the full trailer above.
The trailer comes as distributor Fremantle revealed that Stan in Australia, Yes in Israel, Sky TV in New Zealand, Sky Italia in Italy and Globoplay in Brazil have acquired the show. Prime Video was the orginal buyer, taking it for the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Canada, with AMC+ snapping up U.S. rights.

In further news, Prime Video, AMC+ and Stan have announced a October premiere date with the other territories announcing soon.
Based on Sunday Times bestselling author Nick Harkaway‘s acclaimed novel The Price You Pay, the eight-part series follows Zeta-Jones as Jackie Price, a former international drug smuggler whose carefully constructed new life is thrown into chaos when a team of elite assassins is sent to kill her.
The show comes from creative talent behind Killing Eve and Gangs of London, and stars Zeta-Jones (Chicago, Wednesday) alongside Daniel Ings (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, The Gentlemen), Sidse Babett Knudsen (Prime Target, Borgen), Bill Paterson (Fleabag, Criminal Justice), Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Óscar Jaenada (Rambo V, Cantinflas) and Hattie Hook (Of An Age, Ten Pound Poms) among others.

Fremantle and Steel Springs Pictures are the co-producers, with Conor Keane, Tom Butterworth (Gangs of London), Peter Lawson (John Wick) and Damon Thomas (Killing Eve) the co-creators. Butterworth is the writer and showrunner and Keane co-wrote the TV adaptation and is an associate producer. Harkaway was an executive consultant.
