EXCLUSIVE: The White Lotus star Carrie Coon has joined Rebecca Ferguson and Greta Lee in the upcoming romantic comedy, Honeymoon/Funeral.
MRC is financing and overseeing production of the film from director Nahnatchka Khan and writer Julia Bicknell. Filming continues in London.
Ferguson and Lee star as two women who meet on a flight from LA to London – one en route to her honeymoon by herself after being left at the altar by her girlfriend, the other headed home for her mother’s funeral – and wind up spending the week together.
Golden Globe, Emmy and Tony nominee Coon, best known for The White Lotus and The Leftovers, will star as ‘Sarah’, the ex-fiancée of Lee’s character. Over the weekend, Coon received strong notices from Telluride for new movie The Liberation.
