EXCLUSIVE: Canadian industry veterans veterans Matthew Celestial and Brittany Bell have joined forces for a Toronto-based advisory, Rhetor Network.
The company will advise organizations in the entertainment, technology, consumer products, media and corporate sectors, offering a diet of strategic communications, reputation management, audience development, business strategy, commercialization and operational execution.
Specifically, the business will be broken down into three verticals: Communications & Reputation, Growth and Strategy & Partnerships, targeting to work with companies in Canada and beyond. The company also plans to develop and manage a portfolio of media and brand ventures.
Canadian TV industry comms execs Celestial and Bell are the Managing Partners. They are known for their work with companies such as Netflix, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., Disney, Corus Entertainment and Nelvana, and their collective experience covers comms, audience development, brand strategy and commercialization across media, entertainment, gaming and consumer products.

“Organizations today are competing for attention in an increasingly fragmented marketplace,” said Celestial. “Communications can no longer operate separately from business strategy. Growth is increasingly driven by an organization’s ability to build trust, engage audiences and translate attention into long-term value. We launched Rhetor to help leaders navigate that reality.”
“Attention may be earned in a moment, but trust is built over time,” added Bell. “Organizations that succeed today are those that can consistently engage their audiences, deliver on their promises and create meaningful connections that extend beyond a single campaign or announcement.”
