Coven Academy has conjured up another season. The supernatural teen drama series has been renewed for a second season at Disney+/Hulu.
The renewal announcement Monday comes amid strong viewership stats a little over three weeks following its Season 1 premiere. The first season has racked up 20.3 million global hours in its first three weeks on Disney+ and Hulu, according to Disney, with an additional 30M+ views after the first chapter was made available on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
Coven Academy was the No. 1 streaming series among teens 12–17 over premiere weekend, and Top 5 among all viewers P2+ based on views. Co-viewing was key, with half of teens ages 12-17 and nearly two-thirds of children ages 6-11 watching alongside an adult, per Nielsen.
Season 1 follows three teenage witches and their dangerously charming warlock peers at an elite magic boarding school where power is currency, secrets are lethal and attraction is a liability. Caught between ancient supernatural wars and forbidden love interests, the coven must decide how far they’re willing to go to protect their city—and themselves.
