EXCLUSIVE: Brian Robbins has confirmed the executive leadership team installed at his next-generation family entertainment company Big Shot Pictures, including the appointment of Sherry Liu as President.
As President, Liu will oversee the company’s overall strategy, operations, and revenue. Others on the team include Forrest Prull (Head of Business & Legal Affairs), Bill Buckley (SVP, Animation Production), Rory Larochelle (Head of Franchise & Partnerships), Mike Muney (VP, Creator Partnerships), and Maya Kambe (VP, Film Development).
A longtime colleague of Robbins’ and co-founder of Big Shot Pictures, Liu joins from Paramount Global, where as SVP, Studio Franchise Strategy & Ops, she oversaw kids and family franchises including SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Under her leadership, the TMNT business was revitalized through the consolidation and distribution of a library spanning more than 500 episodes and six films, helping the franchise generate more than $1 billion in retail sales.
Prior to Paramount, Liu worked in corporate strategy and revenue at AwesomenessTV, leading distribution, consumer products, and corporate development, including Verizon’s investment in the company. She began her entertainment career at DreamWorks Animation, where she helped drive the company’s diversification efforts, including the acquisition of the Classic Media library and DreamWorks’ international expansion in Shanghai to grow the Kung Fu Panda franchise and broader IP portfolio.

Formerly co-CEO of Paramount Global, Robbins announced Big Shot Pictures, a banner focused on producing the global kids’ franchises of tomorrow, in January. Previously, the company announced Adam Rosenberg’s appointment as Head of Film.
Projects on Big Shot’s slate include an anime series with streamer IShowSpeed, written and produced by One Piece showrunner Matt Owens, as well as a digital-first, animated Eloise series, emerging from a strategic partnership with Shaun McBride’s Spacestation and children’s YouTube star Adley McBride. They recently acquired a 25% stake in Alvin and the Chipmunks through a joint venture with Bagdasarian Productions, with a theatrical film slated for 2028, and also have multiple projects in the works with the family of creators known as The Bucket List Family.
Big Shot has a first-look theatrical distribution deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment and is backed by strategic investment from Greycroft, Sony Pictures, MarcyPen Capital Partners, ValueAct Capital, and CAA.
