President Donald Trump stated that the United States may need to “unwind” trade deals with the European Union, Japan, and South Korea if his administration loses a pending Supreme Court case concerning the legality of its tariff policies, according to a Reuters report published on Yahoo Finance.

The President made these remarks during a meeting with Polish President Karol Nawrocki, following his administration’s appeal to the Supreme Court to overturn a recent U.S. appeals court ruling that found many of the imposed tariffs to be illegal. He argued that a loss in the case would cause the country to “suffer so greatly” and could jeopardize recently completed agreements.
