As the World Series got underway, MCU fans were treated to a new sneak peek at Avengers: Doomsday, premiering Dec. 18.
During Friday’s Game 1, the MLB and the MCU teamed up for a special preview of the upcoming movie, in which Pedro Pascal’s Mister Fantastic takes the mound for the ceremonial first pitch to Joseph Quinn’s Human Torch.
The preview also featured some familiar faces, including Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, which causes Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man confusion over who to refer to as Captain America, with Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson now carrying the shield.
With the Tampa Bay Rays taking on the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 1 of the World Series on Friday, the MLB teased “an exclusive preview of Avengers: Doomsday” would air during the game, which was broadcasted on Fox and streamed on Fox One.
