Amber Eggers, who appeared in the 2019 season of the WEtv’s reality series Love After Lockup, died Thursday, September 3, of acute liver failure at a hospital in Georgia. She was 41.
Her death was announced by friends on social media and confirmed to TMZ by her mother Monica Eggers.
Eggers’ dating life while behind bars for drug trafficking was chronicled in Season 2 of Love After Lockup (she was engaged to a man but the relationship ended after her prison release).
Eggers had been suffering serious health issues for at least a year. In 2025 her sister Erin started a Go Fund Me page to help defray medical bills after the reality TV star was hospitalized with severe pneumonia and a bacterial infection in her blood. After being moved out of the ICU, Eggers underwent physical therapy “to be able to walk again,” her sister wrote.
Eggers apparently had been back in the hospital with liver failure for two days prior to her death.
