EXCLUSIVE: Cooper Koch (Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story), Angus Imrie (Emma.), Sarah Bolger (The Westies), Miranda Otto (The Lord of the Rings franchise), and Carla Gugino (The Adventures of Cliff Booth) have signed on to star in Fog City, a new noir drama from filmmaker Dan Pritzker.
Set during the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge in Depression-era San Francisco, Fog City blends historical fact and fiction as it examines the interwoven stories of underground abortionist Inez Burns (Gugino), police inspector Steven Walsh (Koch), Dust Bowl transplant Liza Orr (Bolger), blackmailing socialite Dorothy Hargrove (Otto), and her son Martin (Imrie).
Pritzker, a filmmaker with credits including the historical drama Bolden and silent film Louis, is directing from his own script and producing Fog City alongside Emmy nominee Jon Cornick and Michele Tayler. Richard Arlook is an executive producer on the project. The film is currently in production and will shoot through October, between San Francisco and Melbourne.

Supporting cast for the pic includes Perry ‘Pez’ Warner, Les Hill, Johnny Carr, Robert Coleby, Russell Dykstra and David Wenham.

Koch was nominated for an Emmy and Golden Globe for his lead role in Ryan Murphy’s Netflix smash Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. He also starred in Carter Smith’s Swallowed and alongside Kevin Bacon in Peacock’s They/Them. Upcoming, he’ll be seen in Artificial, the Sam Altman film from Academy Award nominee Luca Guadagnino that Neon has picked up for distribution. He is repped by UTA, Strand Entertainment, and Hansen, Jacobsen, Teller.
Imrie has been seen in Autumn de Wilde’s Academy Award-nominated Emma., Bong Joon Ho’s Mickey 17, Emmy winners The Crown and Fleabag, and more. He appears alongside Fog City co-star Koch in Guadagnino’s Artificial and is repped by Insight Management & Production, Curate, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
Bolger earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination for her breakout performance in Jim Sheridan’s In America and currently stars in MGM+’s The Westies. She’ll next be seen opposite James McAvoy and Julianne Moore in Studiocanal’s Control. She is repped by IAG, Mosaic, Accelerate, and Goodman Genow Schenkman.
Otto won an Actor Award for her work in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, with additional nominations for the preceding The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and the long-running Showtime hit Homeland. Also known for titles like War of the Worlds and The Thin Red Line, the Philippou brothers’ Talk to Me, and Robert Zemeckis’ What Lies Beneath, she is repped by Shanahan Management, Gersh, and Entertainment 360.
Most recently, Critics Choice Award nominee Gugino has appeared opposite Naomi Watts and Bill Murray in the indie The Friend, as well as in Prime Video’s international hit Heads of State, alongside Idris Elba and John Cena. She’ll next appear opposite Brad Pitt in The Adventures of Cliff Booth, David Fincher’s sequel to Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. She is repped by Gersh, Untitled, and Kopeikin Law.
