EXCLUSIVE: David Oyelowo and Nate Parker‘s Mansa Studios is turning to TikTok for its latest slate of microdramas. The company is launching three vertical shows direct via the TikTok Minis platform.
These are My Twin Sister Stole My Man, a relationship-driven drama about betrayal, identity and the complicated ties that bind family together; I Married the King of the Streets, a “high-stakes romance in which love, loyalty and power collide within a dangerous world”; and The Love Contract, which follows a “contract relationship that becomes increasingly complicated when a carefully arranged agreement begins to turn into something real.”
“Mansa was created to ensure that culturally rich stories can reach audiences wherever they are,” said Oyelowo. “As viewing habits evolve, we are embracing new formats and platforms that allow us to remain connected to our audience while creating meaningful opportunities for diverse storytellers and talent.”

The launches come following “months of collaboration with TikTok’s team,” according to Mansa’s bosses, and marks the first time Mansa shows have launched on the platform.
“TikTok has become the most influential platform in the world for entertainment discovery, making it an ideal home for stories designed to capture audiences immediately and keep them coming back,” said the CAA-repped Parker, co-founder and CEO of Mansa. “Bringing multiple original projects to viewers at once allows us to continue expanding the possibilities of culturally resonant, mobile-first storytelling.”
Mansa has been investing in vertical entertainment through 2026. Earlier this year, it announced a slate of 10 original microdrama series spanning romance, drama and other genres.
Actor-producers Oyelowo and Parker have turned Mansa as the first microdrama service dedicated to Black stories. It originally launched as an ad-supported streaming platform highlighting Black content for a global audience, and still develops TV and film content alongside microdramas. It also has a theatrical deal with AMC Theatres, which earlier this year gave the long-delayed thriller Newborn a domestic release.
Oyelowo, who has been nominated for Golden Globes and Emmys, is know for his role as Martin Luther King Jr. in Selma, while Parker wrote, directed and starred in Sundance favorite The Birth of a Nation.
