Who will be back in Outer Banks Season 5?

John B (Chase Stokes), Sarah (Madelyn Cline), Kiara (Madison Bailey), Pope (Jonathan Daviss), and Cleo (Carlicia Grant) of the core group of Pogues will be back, as will Drew Starkey’s Rafe. Chandler Groff (J. Anthony Crane) is also still at large. He very cruelly murdered JJ (Rudy Panlow) in front of Kiara in Season 4.

What else happened in Season 4 of Outer Banks?

Season 4 was split into two parts, with the second half arriving in November 2024. In addition to bringing about the death of his son in front of JJ’s friends, Groff also stole Blackbeard’s Blue Crown, which the Pogues had discovered in Morocco.

Kiara and the rest of the Pogues have vowed revenge for JJ’s death. He was the focus of Season 4, and he set the installment in motion when he bet the last piece of El Dorado gold and lost it, disrupting Poguelandia 2.0. A big reveal tying Groff and JJ together was the DNA connection between them: Groff is JJ’s biological father.

Madelyn Cline’s Sarah Cameron, who is technically a Kook, took a pregnancy test and got a positive result last season. She told John B, but Cline told Variety that she won’t be wearing a baby bump. Her pregnancy has not been addressed in either of the trailers released.

How many episodes are in Season 5 of Outer Banks? What can we expect of the fifth and final season?

Season 5 will contain 10 episodes. There won’t be a major time jump, as Season 5 will pick up shortly after the events of the Season 4 finale.

A key line in the trailer has viewers wondering what Blackbeard’s Blue Crown is capable of, because Kiara says, “the legend is that the crown can bring back the dead.” She’s seen doing her research with a big stack of books in her car. The implication here is that JJ could come back to life in a resurrection attempt by Kiara. Since the Kooks are making sure that the Pogues have no home to return to, they also must balance an uneasy alliance with Rafe in the aftermath of Morocco.

Dalia (Pollyanna McIntosh) and the her mercenaries, the Corsairs, are still after the crown as well. After chasing Chandler Groff down to Lisbon, Portugal, the Pogues are seen in custody in Croatia by the looks of the uniforms of the police holding them there. Season 5 did shoot some scenes in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
