One of Prime Video’s next big book adaptation bets is that on Elsie Silver’s Rose Hill series. The streamer is adapting the contemporary small-town romance into a TV show, which sounds like its in the vein of Netflix’s My Life With the Walter Boys and Ransom Canyon.
The cast is currently being assembled with many lead roles already established.

Jake Weary (The Waterfront, Animal Kingdom), Sean O’Pry, Hannah Galway (Under the Banner of Heaven) and Sadie Dickerson (Just In Time) have been cast as West Belmont, Ford Grant, Rose and Skylar Stone.

American model O’Pry is well known for appearing in the music video for Taylor Swift’s single “Blank Space” off of her 1989 album.
Siobhan McGroarty, Sophia Reid-Gantzert, West Mulholland, Gigi Zumbado, and Curtis Hamilton also recently joined the cast. McGroarty will play Cora, Reid-Gantzert will play Emmy Belmont, and Mulhollandwill play Oliver Belmont. In recurring guest roles, Zumbadowill play Tabitha and Hamilton will portray Bash Rousseau.
Who else is behind the Rose Hill adaptation at Prime Video? Is Elsie Silver involved in the creation of the series?
Heidi Cole McAdams will serve as showrunner, which was revealed when Amazon announced the news of the adaptation at its upfront presentation in May 2026. Marc Webb will direct the pilot and second episode, and Temple Hill is producing.
Silver also serves as executive producer alongside Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and James Seidman for Temple Hill. Temple Hill’s Annika Patton will also serve as a co-executive producer.

The story centers rancher with commitment issues West Belmont and brooding record label owner Ford Grant, who are best friends and neighbors. Grant, known as Forbes’ “World’s Hottest Billionaire” has long carried a torch for West’s sister, Rose. Country-pop star Skylar Stone’s entry into the rugged mountain town setting causes ripples in the romantic family drama.
