HBO Max is to search through Diabolical: The Epstein Files.
The streamer’s parent, Warner Bros. Discovery, has acquired international rights to the 90-minute doc, which comes from Australia’s ABC.
HBO Max will begin rolling out the true crime program from September 3 across its international footprint, marking its debut in the UK, Italy (excl Italian-speaking Switzerland) and the Netherlands. Other territories where it will have an exclusive SVOD window are Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, Iceland, Cyprus, Malta, Israel and Ukraine, along with the Baltic and CIS regions.
Produced and distributed by the ABC, Diabolical: The Epstein Files traces the rise, operations, network and eventual downfall of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. It also examines the alleged missed opportunities and institutional failures across law enforcement, legal and social systems that allowed his criminal activity to continue largely unchecked for years.
