Following her “scream queen” debut in Obsession, flexed her comedy muscle with her Saturday Night Live hosting debut.
On this weekend’s episode of the sketch comedy show, the actress teased her upcoming MCU role as Rogue in X-Men, noting that she has to get into Marvel shape while making a joke about Shane Gillis’ sexist opening monologue during the last episode.
“So, every morning, I put on my little whore outfit and hit the gym,” quipped Navarrette to laughs from the audience.
Navarrette also insisted she’s “nothing like Nikki” from Curry Barker’s Obsession, before revealing her boyfriend, who was taped to his studio audience chair.

Also during Navarrette’s opening monologue, Marcello Hernandez showed off his costume as a sexy TSA agent; Kam Patterson was Elizabeth Holmes; and Jeremy Culhane was Wolverine, pitching himself for the role in the upcoming Jake Schreier-directed movie. Veronika Slowikowska and Grace Reiter nailed it as Kelly Clarkson and the mechanical singing bird from Clarkson’s online feud with a Brooklyn gift shop.

In her first sketch, Navarrette and Hernandez played the ghost of a couple of 1930s kids on the Queen Mary who keep distracting a tourist from hearing where another ghost’s treasure is hidden.
In a fake Delta commercial, they introduced “Delta Disruptive,” a new section exclusively for crazy people. “This plane is made out of Israel,” declares Mikey Day while trying to open the exit door. Navarrette gives a hilarious impersonation of the social media famous woman who insisted, “She is not real!”
For The Uninterested Woman Dating Show, Navarrette hilariously played Dane, one of the f*ckboy contestants, along with Jane Wickline and Sarah Sherman.

In The Inventor, Navarrette played an inventor’s wife coming home to all his inventions after his funeral, finding a robot he made for her named PD-44. When she brings home a date (Ben Marshall) six years later, the robot rips off his penis and blows him up, as she realizes his name means “Penis Destroyer.”
“He did love me. My husband did love me after all,” she says, covered in blood.
Teaming up for another sketch, Navarrette and Hernandez play Spanish soap opera stars who are asked to work product placement for Sprite Cherry Lime Habanero into their scene, which goes disastrously for the brand. It ultimately ends with him urging her to drink the soda to kill her unborn baby, who was conceived by his brother.

In the sketch PAW Patrol: Special Victims Unit, Navarrette plays Ryder as a no-nonsense investigator trying to get to the bottom of a gruesome murder.
In addition to marking Navarrette’s first time hosting Saturday Night Live, this weekend’s episode also served as Gracie Abrams’ second time as musical guest after her 2024 debut.
