It’s All About The Release Date: Diddy Gets More Prison Time After Dust-Up With Another Inmate In The Joint

Like a single on the old skool charts, Sean Combs‘ prison time keeps moving up and down with the Bad Boy Records founder’s stint behind bars lengthened again.

After a fight last month with another inmate at the cushy Fort Dix FCI, Diddy has had his release date pushed back now to February 20, 2028. That’s an addition of almost a month in the New Jersey facility by the federal Bureau of Prisons from the January 2028 exit that was on the books just a few weeks ago.

The feds offered no details on the incident between the “All About the Benjamins” performer and the other incarcerated individual. However, sources indicate that the issue was mainly verbal, with insults tossed back and forth. Guards intervened swiftly to get everyone back to their respective corners (aka cells), I’m told — though it is unclear if there was some time in solitary confinement as a consequence.

Contacted today by Deadline, reps for Combs, who a New York jury found guilty last year of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, had no comment on the latest release date for their client. At one point extended to a June 2028 release, the time-served Combs also has seen his sentence cut back to multiple dates in April 2028, then two more times to much earlier in that year.

Acquitted by a NYC jury of the much more damning and punitive charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, Diddy was given a 50-month sentence last fall by U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian. As the one-time mini-mogul stews in the clink, an appeal is fast-tracking its way through the courts. With that, a much sought pardon from Combs’ old party pal Donald Trump has proved to be a bust despite heavy lobbying.

Facing more than 65 suits alleging sexual abuse, rape, career attacks and more nationwide, Combs always has insisted he might have had a short fuse, a now rehabbed drug problem and a tendency to threats, but he is innocent of all the sexual misconduct claims. Combs’ $100 million defamation suit against NBCUniversal over the documentary Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy was tossed out this spring. In more docket news, the Grammy winner looks to have been bluffing about legal action against Netflix‘s Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson EP’d Sean Combs:The Reckoning series.

Still, on the potential bicoastal docket, Combs is awaiting a decision from the L.A. County District Attorney’s office on whether Nathan Hochman‘s team will pursue sexual assault and battery reports from the LAPD and the Sheriff’s Department related to music producer Jonathan Hay. If the answer is yes and a City of Angels jury finds Diddy guilty, the accused will find his prison time going much longer, just out on the West Coast this time.
