SNL UK has snagged a Wicked new guest host for its Season 2 opener.
Saturday Night Live UK will return to Sky on September 12 with Jurassic Park star Jeff Goldblum presiding over the debut episode.
Goldblum is something of an SNL veteran, having hosted the NBC series twice before in 1993 and 1997. He will be joined on the UK version by musical guest CMAT, the Irish singer‑songwriter and Brit Award nominee.
Sky is yet to announce SNL UK‘s other guest presenters. The second season will run for six episodes before taking a break and returning in early 2027. Season 1 hosts included Tina Fey, Hannah Waddingham, and Nicola Coughlan.
All of SNL UK’s cast members will return, including Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young.

Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival, Sky unscripted chief Philip Edgar-Jones suggested that the remake of NBC’s sketch series could continue beyond Season 2.
“We’re in this for the long run, and we’re super proud of it, and super proud of the team,” Edgar-Jones said, adding that he was pleased to have proved the social media “naysayers” wrong.
SNL UK is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio’s UK production team and Broadway Video. Lorne Michaels serves as executive producer. James Longman is lead producer.
