Josh Lucas Joins Nicole Kidman & Elle Fanning In Paramount+ Legal Drama ‘Discretion’

EXCLUSIVE: Josh Lucas (Yellowstone, Ford v Ferrari) is set to star opposite Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning in Discretion, Paramount+‘s upcoming legal thriller series from A24.

Lucas will play Greg, a lawyer and the husband of Kidman’s powerful and formidable corporate law partner at the same firm entangled in a dark web of NDAs. Fanning plays Lenny, a summer associate at the prestigious law firm who realizes she is bound by the exact non-disclosure agreement she is investigating, upending her mentor-protégé dynamic with Kidman’s character.

Written and executive produced by Chandler Baker and executive produced by Susannah Grant, Discretion was the first big buy for Paramount+’s new regime following Paramount’s acquisition by Skydance; the streamer landed the project in October after a bidding war with a straight-to-series order.

The eight-episode drama series will begin production in 2026 and launch on Paramount+ next year.

Also executive producing Discretion are Kidman and Per Saari via Blossom Films; Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning and Brittany Kahan Ward for Lewellen Pictures; Joe Hipps via Cut To and Jordan Cerf of Linden Entertainment. A24, where Cut To is based, is the studio.

Lucas most recently starred opposite Kristen Wiig in Apple TV’s comedy series Palm Royale and will next be seen in Paramount Pictures’ Western action thriller The Rescue. He is repped by WME and Liebman Entertainment.
