Kelsey Moore has joined the Motion Picture Association as vice president, state government affairs for the southeast region.
Moore will represent the MPA before state legislatures, regulatory agencies and executive branch figures, as the trade association advocates on such issues as production incentives. She reports to
Kathy Bañuelos, senior VP of state government affairs at MPA, and started in her role on Monday.
Moore, who will continue to be based in Atlanta, previously was executive director of the Georgia Screen Entertainment Coalition, which pressed for the state’s tax incentive program, something that has helped it become a production hub. She also oversaw economic impact reports on production. She previously had leadership roles at the Georgia Travel Association and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce.
Bañuelos said in a statement, “She has been an incredible advocate for the entire motion picture industry, and I’m confident she’ll have the same impact for the entire southeast region.”
