NBC’s ‘Line Of Fire’ Adds Sam Waterston, Campbell Scott & Chris Chalk As Guest Stars

EXCLUSIVE: Sam Waterston (Law & Order, Grace and Frankie), Campbell Scott (Furious, Royal Pains) and Chris Chalk (It: Welcome to Derry, Feud: Capote vs. the Swans) will guest star in the upcoming NBC drama series Line of Fire.

The series follows a family of law enforcement agents—headed by Mike (Peter Krause) and Jane (Hope Davis) Hollingsworth— who bridge personal differences and cross professional boundaries as they tackle cases for the FBI, US Marshals, Secret Service, and Department of Justice. After a seemingly cut-and-dry case turns into a deadly conspiracy, they must use the expertise from a lifetime of protecting civilians and politicians to protect one another and bring the killer to justice … even if it means betraying their sworn code. 

The series also stars Kat Cunning, Tommy O’Brien, Taylor Bloom and Charlie Barnett. 

Waterston will play former President Thomas Barnes. He and Mike have a deep bond, but Mike is haunted by a close call from his time on detail. 

Scott will play Terry, a U.S. Senator who is Jane’s boyfriend. He’s hoping to move their relationship to the next level but knows that Jane’s first priorities will always be her work and her family. 

Chalk will play current President Kayana, who’s strong and decisive but worries his numbers are not where they should be and is seeking to course correct.

Creator and writer Joshua Safran executive produces with Jenna Bush Hager and her producing partner Ben Spector. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the studio. The project falls under the first-look deal Bush Hager has with Universal Studio Group for her Thousand Voices production company.

Waterston is repped by Constellation Media Group. Scott is repped by Untitled Entertainment. Chalk is repped by Paradigm, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
