“If anyone can get this done, it’s your mother,” Freddie Highmore‘s Edward hears in the first trailer for Prime Video thriller The Assassin Season 2.

Amazon’s streaming service has released a trailer and pencilled in a November 6 launch date for the show in the UK and Ireland. Banijay Rights is selling piecemeal elsewhere, except in Germany, where ZDF has the show, and Australia, where it is on Stan.

The Assassin stars Keeley Hawes the mother in question, Julie, opposite Highmore, who plays her son. Season 2’s trailer shows hitwoman Julie reluctantly teaming up with Edward once again, when his dream honeymoon with Kayla (Shalom Brune-Franklin) is hijacked and his new wife take hostage. “The honeymoon… couldn’t get any worse,” deadpans Edward as he reveals the news to his mom.
