Korean studio CJ ENM has struck a deal for its hit dating reality format EXchange, which will be adapted in Brazil as a Prime Video Original, titled Love Transit.
Directed by Brazilian television producer Boninho, and produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Formata, the show will begin filming in São Paulo and Campos do Jordão in September.
EXchange, the original format behind Love Transit, is an unscripted series produced as a TVING Original about former couples living together under one roof. The participants do not know who each other’s ex-partners are. And as they look back on past relationships and meet new people, they must decide whether to reunite with an ex or start a new relationship.
Since its debut in 2021, EXchange has become one of South Korea’s most popular dating reality series, with Season 1 racking up the highest viewing hours amongst entertainment shows on TVING at the time.

According to a CJ ENM release, Season 2 ranked number one in weekly paid subscriber contribution for 16 consecutive weeks, while Season 3 first day impact on new subscriber acquisition was 74 times greater than Season 1. Season 4 ranked number one in TVING’s weekly subscription contribution for 17 consecutive weeks, from its premiere to final episode.
The series has already been adapted in Japan as Love Transit on Prime Video, with three seasons produced to date. The Brazilian version marks the first time the show has been adapted outside of Asia.
Sebastian Kim, Head of the Content Business Unit at CJ ENM, said: “EXchange brings together former couples who parted ways, giving them a chance to look back on their past relationships and find new love.
“Following its adaptation in Japan, we look forward to seeing the format reinterpreted for Brazilian audiences in a way that reflects their local culture and emotions. CJ ENM will continue to expand its global format business by bringing more of our original IP to audiences around the world through collaborations with leading platforms and partners.”
