EXCLUSIVE: Run-A-Muck, the multiplatform media company founded by Pamela Drucker Mann, Ilene Chaiken and Jennifer Beals, has announced the hiring of producer and executive Adam Kopp.

Kopp will oversee Run-A-Muck’s creative strategy as it expands its slate of scripted and unscripted projects for film and TV. He’ll also play a key role in the continued growth of the company’s digital platforms, with his appointment taking effect November 16.

Kopp will work closely with Rowan Riley, who was appointed as Head of Creative Development last year and now segues into a first-look producing deal with Run-A-Muck, continuing to develop and produce projects with the company, including their feature adaptation of Torrey Peters’ thriller novella Stag Dance. In his efforts to advance the company’s existing slate while identifying and developing new projects, he’ll also work closely with Executive Director, Creative & Community Development, Caroline Joyner.

Kopp comes to Run-A-Muck after a few years developing for film and TV as an independent producer. Most recently, he wrapped production on the China-based shoot for Fuckboy, a new film from Ben Mullinkosson and Michael Barth. Previously, Kopp led Steven Yeun’s Universal Remote, where he worked on Netflix’s Emmy-winning series Beef, oversaw television deals with Amazon and A24, and played a key role in developing, packaging and selling a range of film and television projects.

Run-A-Muck brings on Kopp during a period of significant growth, having raised $10 million in seed funding earlier this year. The company now has more than 25 scripted and unscripted projects in development with the likes of Netflix, Disney’s Onyx, MGM and Lionsgate, and with partners including Prologue and Futurific. Its digital platforms Drafting and Reign have now generated more than 1B impressions across Substack, IG and TikTok, with multiple original short stories published on Drafting now being developed for television. Reign recently launched Is She Game, a new podcast hosted by digital creator Coach Jackie J and produced in partnership with the Obamas’ Higher Ground.

Chaiken, Run-A-Muck’s Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, told us in a statement on the hire, “Adam has exceptional taste, incredible creative instincts and deep relationships with writers, filmmakers and creators. He knows how to identify great ideas and, just as importantly, how to be a real creative partner in bringing them to life. I’m incredibly excited to work closely with him as we continue to grow our slate and bring together some of the most exciting storytellers working today.”

Calling attention to Kopp’s “clear understanding of how the business is evolving and how audiences are discovering and engaging with content today,” co-founder and CEO Mann said that he “will help drive the flywheel we’re building at Run-A-Muck, where television, film and digital work together to create interconnected worlds and new ways for audiences to experience great storytelling. Adam brings exactly the perspective we need as we continue to grow our slate, expand our platforms and deepen our connection with audiences.”

As a producer, Kopp’s past credits include Evan Twohy’s feature debut Bubble & Squeak, which premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, and Kelly Oxford’s directorial debut Pink Skies Ahead, which premiered at SXSW. A 2025 Film Independent Producing Fellow and a 2026 Gotham/Rotterdam Producing Lab Fellow, he began his career as an NBC page before moving on to roles in CAA’s Theatre department and at Stampede Ventures. The St. Louis native is a graduate of New York University’s Gallatin School.

Kopp told us, “What Pam, Ilene and Jennifer are building at Run-A-Muck is exactly where the entertainment business is headed. Developing original ideas across TV, film and digital, working with incredible writers, filmmakers and creators, and building real relationships with audiences? That’s the dream and it’s why I’m so excited about this role. I can’t wait to jump in and help keep the momentum going.”
