Sony Dates Bad Robot’s JT Mollner Horror Pic ‘Skeletons’ Starring Brie Larson For Summer 2027

Sony‘s Skeletons will be coming to theaters on June 4, 2027.

The new creature-horror pic from JT Mollner and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions is a modern take on the subgenre, told from a young boy’s POV as he slowly learns his beloved parents are hiding a disturbing secret about his mother’s true nature.

Oscar winner Brie Larson, Kyle Gallner, Daithí Ó Haragáin, John Goodman, Willa Fitzgerald, Ione Skye and Keith Carradine star in what also is a FilmNation Entertainment and Assemble Media production.

Brian Duffield penned the first draft of the screenplay based off a short story by Philip Fracassi, with revisions by Mollner.

Producers are Drew Simon, Abrams and Jon Cohen, and Jack Heller. Assemble’s Caitlin de Lisser-Ellen and Duffield as well as Roy Lee and Steven Schneider are executive producing, as is Larson and Fracassi.

Also opening June 4 next year are Lionsgate’s prequel John Rambo and an untitled Paramount event film.

Next up, Bad Robot has the Anne Hathaway-Ewan McGregor pic The End of Oak Street coming out via Warner Bros on August 14.
