‘The Five Star Weekend’ Makes Itself At Home On Peacock With 1B+ Minutes Viewed Since Launch

The Five Star Weekend is highly favored with Peacock subscribers.

The series, which premiered on July 9, has launched as the top Peacock scripted title of all time with over 1B viewing minutes in its first week on the platform, per first party data from the streamer.

While Nielsen’s streaming rankings for the week of July 6 to 12 won’t be available for another month or so, early data from the measurement company puts The Five Star Weekend among the Top 5 original streaming series in that timeframe.

The Five Star Weekend has also managed some buzz on social with over 13M video views. Sprout’s social content rankings have the series as the No. 1 most social streaming premiere for the week of July 6.

The Five Star Weekend follows Jennifer Garner as Hollis Shaw, a famed cook and best-selling author known for her delicious recipes, impeccable taste, and warm demeanor, who suffers a devastating loss. Unable to move forward, the death starts to expose the cracks in Hollis’s picture-perfect life—her strained marriage, her complicated relationship with her daughter, and her growing pursuit of validation from her fans. In an effort to overcome grief and find herself again, Hollis gets the idea to host a weekend away at her house on Nantucket with three friends from different stages in her life—childhood, college, motherhood—and one surprise guest. Set against a luxurious and coastal backdrop, the five “stars” will develop in ways they could never imagine as boundaries are pushed and secrets are exposed.

The series also stars D’Arcy Carden, Gemma Chan, Regina Hall, Chloe Sevigny, Harlow Jane, and Timothy Olyphant.
