Verve Signs ‘Off Campus’ EP Leanna Billings

EXCLUSIVE: Verve has signed Leanna Billings, founder and CEO of Billings Productions, for representation.

Billings is an executive producer on Off Campus, Prime Video’s hit romantic drama based on the bestselling book series by Elle Kennedy. Premiering in May, the show drew in 36 million viewers in its first 12 days of streaming — scoring the third most-watched series launch in the platform’s history — and earned an early Season 2 renewal with production now underway in Vancouver.

Billings optioned the rights on the series in 2021 and was the driving force behind optioning Kennedy’s books, bringing Amazon to the table to develop the adaptation. She exec produces alongside Louisa Levy, Gina Fattore, Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen and Neal Flaherty.

Billings holds adaptation rights to a growing slate of bestselling IP, including The Other Woman by Sandie Jones, a New York Times bestseller and Reese Witherspoon x Hello Sunshine Book Club pick, as well as Meghan Quinn’s Cane Brothers trilogy. She has secured shopping rights to the trilogy, completed the screenplay adaptation, and already drawn interest from two major studios.

Billings is also in active development on a number of her own original projects as a screenwriter across film and television.

Verve also reps Mika Abdalla, one of the stars of Off Campus, who steps up to a lead role in Season 2.
